Situated immediately adjacent to the Urunga town centre, within a one to two minute walk to shops, the Urunga Hotel and restaurants, Urunga Heads Holiday Park is perfectly located for a relaxed, laid back holiday experience. Also, close by and within easy walking distance of the Park are The Bowling Club, Golf and Sporting Club and various other local shops.

There is plenty to do for all the family including visiting the local art and craft shops or the local winery. Also available close by are golf, bowls, tennis, swimming, beach and river fishing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and sailing or surfing at the patrolled beach at Hungry Head.

Taking a walk along the Urunga footbridge is an experience not to be missed. Extending across the calm waters of the lagoon, with gentle breezes blowing across the water, the footbridge allows tourists a rare glimpse of the abundant wildlife living along the foreshore. Sand crabs burrowing into the sand, pelicans and seagulls splashing in the water, soldier crabs scurrying through the mangrove roots and the sound of waves crashing onto the break wall provide a perfect back drop for a stroll along the footbridge at any time of day. All of this and more is within walking distance of all camp sites and cabins.
